Applicants will need to be a talented and motivated Digital Product Owner to lead the development and maintenance of our customer-facing digital products‚ including our website‚ mobile applications‚ inflight entertainment system (IFE) and transactional communications. This role will be instrumental in shaping the digital experience of our customers‚ driving innovation‚ and ensuring seamless interactions across all digital channels.

What you'll do
- Digital Content Management: Create and maintain web pages and IFE content‚ ensuring optimal user experience and aligning with brand guidelines.
- Product Ownership: Own the product roadmap for our digital platforms‚ defining the product vision‚ strategy‚ and priorities.
- Agile Methodology: Work closely with external product providers to deliver features and improvements in an agile environment.
- Platform Management: Oversee the overall management and optimization of our digital platforms‚ including performance monitoring‚ troubleshooting‚ and security updates.
- Transactional Communications: Manage the development and optimization of transactional emails‚ SMS messages‚ push notifications‚ ensuring clear and timely communication with customers.
- User Experience (UX) Focus: Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across all digital touchpoints.
- Design Principles: Understand basic design principles to ensure visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Oversee and participate in UAT to validate product functionality and user experience.
- Commercial Alignment: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that digital products support commercial goals and drive revenue.
- Data Analysis: Analyse user behaviour and website metrics to identify trends‚ opportunities for improvement‚ and inform future product decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders‚ including marketing‚ customer service‚ and IT‚ to align on product goals and timelines.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
Minimum qualifications
- Need to have the right to live and work in the UK. Sponsorship is not an option.
- Good understanding of web development principles and technologies (HTML‚ CSS‚ JavaScript).
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and web frameworks.
- Knowledge of mobile app development and deployment processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and functionality (e.g.‚ SQL‚ Google Analytics‚ MS Clarity).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for digital products and user experience.
- Due to airport and aviation industry security regulations‚ you will need to successfully complete a background check process including verification of education‚ employment‚ and criminal record checks as well as providing supporting documentation for any gaps in your employment history.

- Customer service skills: The role has a very strong focus on understanding and meeting customer needs. And as the role will also involve being in contact with customers‚ you will need excellent customer service skills. On those occasions‚ as you will be acting as a representative of our airline‚ we will be particularly keen for you to demonstrate these skills at interview.
- Initiative skills: You will need to be proactive and self-motivated‚ with a strong drive to deliver results.
- Communication and collaboration skills: These are essential in order for you to work effectively with cross-functional teams in the business and our customers.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure: At times you may be faced with significant workloads and conflicting priorities. You will be expected to deal with this in a calm and professional manner and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
- Organisation skills: You will need to have good organisation skills to deal with your task list.
- Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively. A strong understanding of agile methodologies and a collaborative approach to work are crucial for success in this role.
Desirable skills and experience
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the airline industry or a similar customer-centric industry is a plus‚ but not essential. A strong understanding of the customer journey and industry trends is more important.
- Technical Skills: While the role is focused on product ownership‚ having some technical skills will be beneficial for hands-on problem-solving and collaboration with development teams.
- Design Skills: A solid understanding of design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers and prepare high-level prototypes.
- Certification: Certified Product Owner (CPO) or other relevant certifications would be a plus.
